Jar record before the pick

The jar inspection and service record for this jar is current before the crane lifts it. Connections, pins and the running weight are the slickline checks. The crane check does not replace them. If the record is not current, the jar stays on the ground or on the rack.

Elevator latch, rating and tag

The latch closes fully and the pin or retainer is seated. The rated load is at or above the string weight. The inspection tag is on the gear and still in date. One signal person is named. A tag line guides the load. Nobody stands under it or in the fall path. Open the elevator sheet and the jars audit when those records are the ones you need.
